Why Character-driven AI Image Ads?
Still images are ubiquitous across social media and the entire internet. And though video is more powerful in terms of user engagement, still ads are still a force that cannot be denied. Easy to post and manage, we think there will always be a place for image ads in any author's media campaign. So we create them. But not just any image ad will do. We believe, and research backs this up, that using faces in an ad, or any message for that matter, is one of the most powerful ways to connect to a target audience. And books, both fiction and non-fiction, lend themselves perfectly to leveraging this truth. Almost every fiction novel ever written, and story ever told, focuses on a set of characters who are on a journey of some sort, be it a rags to riches or quest story, to a tragedy or rebirth. On the non-fiction side of things, even though most non-fiction books do not have central characters like a conventional novel, most still focus on a theme or topic that are integral parts of someone's journey, and that someone, or others, are very real characters, and can be used to market the non-fiction book.

With all that in mind, every image ad we create, and trailers for that matter, center around a character, or group of characters, living the book's story. We call these "character-driven ads." We draw the viewer in with compelling cinematic character and location images, all supporting a strong tag line or two. The power of AI has allowed us to do this at a reasonable cost. We can develop consistent characters that can be used used to tell a broad set of stories, in numerous settings, and engage target readers in tangible and emotional ways.
Below are some examples of image ads that we have created for some of our authors. In today's world we are now only limited by our imagination when it comes to developing these still ads, and not only traditional ads. With the characters we develop for our authors, we can use them in all kinds of ways. Meet the Characters, which you will find below the "Parallel Secrets" image ad examples, is yet another way authors are leveraging this powerful idea of using character faces to share with the world their stories. So check these out and get in touch with us to design your characters and create character-driven image ads that will be a game changer for your marketing!

"Walking in Mud" by retired Navy SEAL Steve Giblin (Non-Fiction)
During his first few weeks as a Navy SEAL, Steve Giblin found a simple, typewritten document left behind in an old desk drawer by the Team commanding officer, entitled “THE TEN ESSENTIAL QUALITIES OF AN UNDERWATER DEMOLITION MAN.” That single page, and the maxims it contained, followed Steve wherever he was based during his twenty-six-year career with the SEALs—fourteen of those as part of the legendary strike force that took down Osama bin Laden. Steve still lives by those tenets today, coming to realize how it laid out a regimen not just for elite warriors, but also for the rest of us in our day-to-day lives. Now Steve has applied them to this post-COVID-19 world we find ourselves living in, a new normal that will test both our resolve and our psyches as we’re challenged as we’ve never been before. Applying his own experiences as a Navy SEAL to these everyday rigors, Steve provides a prescription for both healing and thriving, a guide map to get to the other side better and stronger than we were at the beginning of a journey none of us signed up for.
