"Bring your books to life with cinematic character imagery that moves your readers"
Our Work
With our book trailers, unlike standard book or movie trailers, ours use only still images, as if they were lifted directly from the book's pages. Then, using other AI tools like ChatGPT and Eleven Labs, we can create unique scripts and professional narration that cuts our production time considerably, allowing us to focus more time on tweaking our book trailers to perfection. And when it comes to our still ads, the same thinking applies - character images and scenes that look as if the very pages of a writer's book have come to life.
Check out some of our recent AI book trailers and image ads below. From a murder mystery thriller written by a 13-year-old author to a compelling saga about the journey of an identity forger in WWII, our work is diverse. We first share the characters that were created from our author's descriptions, then the trailers we produced, all followed by some of the image ads we developed after the trailers were cut. To learn more more about the power of character-driven ads, visit our page "The Power of Character-driven Ads."

"The Forger of Marseille" by Linda Joy Myers (Publisher: She Writes Press)
Applying our mobile-first strategy, we created a set of three, 15 second trailers, in the three primary mobile formats (9:16, 1:1, and 16:9) that Linda can share across the entire web ecosystem, be it organically or through paid ads. We worked closely with her to design the main protagonist Simone, and some of the secondary characters, and then worked meticulously in AI to design the right scenes and deliver three short trailers that share the book's story in a concise and compelling fashion. These were a blast to put together for Linda and we look forward to doing more for any author who dares to enter this brave new world of AI production.

"It was a pleasure to work with IDM on my first book trailer! They listened to my preferences and together we created the feeling and the images that best represented my new book! I highly recommend them as a partner in creating your trailer!"

"Parallel Secrets" by ML Barrs
TV journalist Vicky Robeson is RV camping with Pete Harris, her enticing new love interest. He’s talking commitment, but she’s not ready to open up her heart, or her history. Her phone pings — news alert. A girl’s been kidnapped. Vicky joins the search for the child, aiming to redeem herself for errors of her past. She finds herself in mortal danger when she investigates small town secrets that overlap with her own. - This is a great story and creating assets for the author was so much fun, and rewarding. Maria pushed us to discover new ways of doing things and to develop new offerings. A lot of learnings on this journey for us, and all well worth it.

"Creative. Intuitive. Responsive. The IDM team did a fantastic job developing marketing fundamentals for Parallel Secrets. After an in-depth discussion about my goals, IDM used descriptions in the book to create images of key characters. It was almost uncanny how close to my words the AI images turned out to be. The team then developed an overall look before creating a highly engaging video and graphic image campaign. I will definitely turn to IDM again for my current work in progress."
- ML Barrs, Author - "Parallel Secrets"
Check out this video interview with Maria where she makes great use of the characters we developed for her. Just another creative way to leverage these assets!
"The Murder Mystery Race" by Andrew S. Cohen (Publisher: Post Hill Press/Permuted Press)
Publisher Post Hill press approached us to do a set of trailers for one of their imprints, Permuted Press, shortly after we completed a series of trailers for one of Post HIll's non-fiction books, "Walking in Mud," by retired Navy SEAL Steve Giblin. Written by 14-year-old author Andrew S. Cohen, "The Murder Mystery Race" is an intriguing thriller and creating a set of 15 second trailers was a lot of fun to do. The publishers are using the trailers and image ads we created as part of an entire social media campaign for Andrew's book, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have been provided the opportunity to create some compelling assets for the campaign.

"IDM was great to work with. They really take their work seriously and want to make sure the author's vision comes to life in the trailers they create!"
- Kelsey Merritt, Director of Publicity and Marketing, Post Hill Press
"These trailers are fabulous. They are so realistic and the images and background voice bring my story to life. If you are looking for somebody to create a book trailer for you, IDM is the one for you!"

"The High Priestess" by Katie Cross (Publisher: KC Writing)
The first AI trailer we ever created was for Katie Cross's novel "The High Priestess." We worked with Katie to design the primary characters Vittoria Gutia and La Salvatorra and a number of the book's secondary characters. Produced as a 44 second audiobook trailer, Katie first recorded the voiceover, and then we were off to the races. We have refined our AI trailer creation process and workflow significantly since doing this first trailer, and the AI tools themselves have come a long way, but we are still proud of this first effort. We even ran a short campaign at Facebook with the AI videos and generated some great click through rates. At the time of this creation we had yet to develop our thee 15 second trailer approach, so here you will find the single 44 second version that we created. We did not create any still ads for this project (an offering we developed later). Enjoy the trailer.

With only a single 44 second trailer for this project we showcase the same trailer but three of the four different formats we produce. This gives our audience a chance to see the differences between multiple formats.

"I am so pleased with my book trailers and cannot wait to show them to my current (and future) readers and fans. The process was smooth, communication deep, and my ability to breathe my brand into the video was very strong. I had a blast doing this!

"Walking In Mud" by Steve Giblin and Jon Land (Publisher: Post Hill Press) - Image Ads
Before AI we created a number of book trailers for retired Navy SEAL Steve Giblin's non-fiction book "Walking In Mud." When we jumped into AI production we thought about how we could leverage these new tools to create some compelling content for Steve. Since his book is non-fiction, there were not the traditional characters to create like we do for fiction authors. But, there are certainly still characters. The Navy team commander that generated the document that is the whole basis for Steve's book for one. And Steve himself, and his SEAL team members. And what about a character that represents the millions of COVID-19 patients? So yes, a non-fiction book can and definitely does have characters. They all do. So we created a number of still AI ads for "Waling In Mud." Three of them follow:

We have only just begun creating in this new world of AI production and we are super thrilled to dive in even deeper. Be it an image ad, book trailer, or any video production where we can leverage the power of AI tools, we look forward to creating content that can change the world for our clients. As Bob Dylan once said "the times they are A-changin'."
We also produce non-AI book trailers for both fiction and non-fiction authors. Check out our non-AI Standard Gallery here and if you are interested in this approach please get in touch!
